"Ladies an Gentlemen!" Jillian, the Contest Announcer said into the microphone after she had ran onto the Stage. "Thanks for waiting! The Goldenrod Pokemon Contest will now begin!" The crowd cheers and Jillian takes the time to introduce the judges, Nurse Joy, the Director Contesta, and the President from the Pokemon Enthusiast club. "The Coordinator who earns their way to the top will be presented with the Goldenrod Contest Ribbon! And the Coordinators who fight their way to get Five Ribbons will be able to enter the Amazing Johto Grand Festival! I'm Jillian and I'll be your Host today!" Jillian eagerly motions up to a monitor where the ribbon was being shown as she speaks before it fades away as she finishes. The crowd cheers and one by one Coordinators are called onto the stage to perform their appeals and be judged.
Backstage in the Locker room, Blair watched the television that was broadcasting the performance. Skitty was doing her best to be good and stay still just long enough for Blair to finish brushing her fur. The Pink Cat's tail would twitch from time to time as she craved to break away and chase something around the room. Blair coolly adjusted her sunglasses before going back to running the brush through Skitty's silky fur. It was almost time to go on.
Meanwhile, Ruth Turner sat in the audience with her new Eevee in her lap. When was Kevin doing to get his butt onto the stage? She had to get back to training to defeat Whitney. Ruth scratched her Eevee behind the ear as she watched Coordinator after Coordinator make their appeals and be judged, some were good, some were bad, and then there were some that were AMAZING. This was Kevin's first time or something right? How was he going to manage?! Eevee's ears twitched as the small Pokemon giggled in her new Trainers lap, the pretty/shiny appeals hypnotizing the small Pokemon.
"Next up is Contestant 27, Blair!" With that introduction, the spotlight illuminates the Groovy, badass bitch in her odd Contest Outfit. The outfit was a mix of purple, white, and yellow - the starts being white, the other stripes being yellow, and the overall color of the outfit being Purple. She holds up Skitty's Pokeball and tosses it up into the air above her. "Skitty...Action!!" With a popping sound and the appearance of stars from a seal, Skitty appeared - high in the air. Still surrounded by stars, Skitty seems to grin as she flips, spins and smoothly lands on all fours with ease.
"Okay Skitty! Use Blizzard!" The Pink cat Pokemon jumps into the air, spins her body and lets out a freezing cold wind out of her body toward the ceiling before she begins to fall. "Add in a Shock Wave!" Blair orders before Skitty's tail begins to spark and then finally keeps herself up in the air. The spinning creates a tornado of both cold wind and electricity - onlookers are amazed at the balance of Blair's Skitty. After a few moments of awe, Skitty stops both attacks at the same time, and flips her body backwards and then lands on her feet. The Pink Cat grins up at her Trainer's form as people begin to applaud.
