It seemed really unnecessary that this was how it is. Lavender Town was what he had expected, but knew better that things can change, especially at the Radio Tower. The wind was blowing slightly as Raven looked up at the large builder as he sat where he was near the base, feeling like this was some new testimony for him. It wasn't that he was afraid of this tower, he just wasn't sure if he was going to do well in a town that had a large tower looming over him.
A sigh soon escaped, an easy gaze going to look back down to what he was doing with his leg. The prosthetic was failing again, though he knew it would over time. He just wasn't sure why he had to deal with it almost every two months. Messing with it, he knew that something was failing, no matter what it was that was making it start acting like crap. He just wished that it didn't happen the way it did, especially since he wanted to get to his next gym challenge.
Soon he felt the faint nudge of something against his arm, and looking towards what it was, he saw Charred, his Ninetales. A smile came across his face as he started petting her, knowing he would always be comferted around her. "Your the best Charred," he commented, rubbing against her chin. She then rubbed against him again, then layed down beside Raven, getting ready to take a nap as he was fixing his leg.

There was nothing, nothing to do in this town. Saga was bored of it but she hadn't left just yet. She planned on looking around the pokemon tower once dusk had fallen. See if she couldn't find herself a ghost pokemon-one of those would fit in with her collection of pokemon. Ghost pokemon were awfully useful, as well. After all, going through walls, being able to be invisible...
It was a thief's dream.
However, it was not yet dark enough to warrant a trip over to the depressing place, so Saga was just wandering around town. She didn't have any of her pokemon out. Static was sleeping, in preparation for later that night, Pollution was generally disapproved of and she didn't want to draw attention to herself, and unless he was in a battle, Speck was intolerable.
A voice drew her attention and she looked over to see a boy, apparently fixing his leg. Saga had managed to go her entire life without seeing a prosthetic limb, so she stared for a moment, before walking over to him. Her eyes had drifted to his companion, a ninetails. A trainer, perhaps. She could do with strengthening Speck some, so that he didn't lag so horribly behind her other pokemon.
"You. Mind battling?" The spearow probably didn't stand a chance, but he would gain some skill at least. She didn't seem to consider that the other teen was busy, though if Static had been out it probably would have helped her with her tact. Dealing with people was just annoying though.

"You. Mind battling?"
The voice slightly startled him, but he was used to surprises so it was expected. Looking up, Nick smiled at the girl who asked the question. He was starting to wonder when he would actually have a battle, not caring if it was a pokemon battle or against a trainer. Standing up, with a little difficulty, Nick turned to look at the girl from a better position.
"Its fine by me," Nick said, going for a pokeball at his waist. The pokeball he grabbed told him that he would be going with this pokemon rather than Charred. "I won't be using Charred, but instead of her, I will use Hades, my Lucario." Throwing the pokeball, a flashing white light showed and soon the Lucario was standing there in front of him.
"Lu," she said, giving a faint smile and getting into a battle stance as she waited for the up coming battle. This scene mad Nick smile, he knew she like to battle a little and that it sometimes made her feel good.

Surprising her slightly, he didn't send out the ninetails by his side but sent out a different pokemon. A Lucario-that was good. Speck might even have a chance against a fighting type, though she didn't raise her hopes. He was, at least to her, currently a useless pokemon. She couldn't even remember why she'd stolen him, now that she thought about it. "One pokemon each work?" She didn't really want to draw this battle out, and if they did more than that she'd probably end up using Pollution, which would just be messy.
As she spoke she had been pulling a pokeball from a strap around her arm on the inside of her sleeve, enlarging it and releasing the pokemon with only a small toss of the pokeball. Speck quickly materialized, circling around her head quickly (and no doubt screaming obscenities into her ears) before facing his opponent. He wasn't very good at hovering in place with his small wings, so the angry looking spearow flew from side to side, watching his opponent.
"Speck. Peck attack." Saga's voice seemed to be distant now that the battle had started. Almost as if she didn't really care, although the way she was watching the beginning of the battle showed that at least she wasn't trying to lose. She'd also given plenty of time for the other pair to get ready, so there would be no chance of this being called a foul. She'd have to follow the rules if she wanted to be able to stay in town to get a ghost pokemon, and everybody knew Lavender was the best place in Kanto to find one.
Speck may have had the anger to back up any attack he used, but he was young and not very skilled in battle. Rather than trying to go in from the back, which would have made the Lucario spend time turning around and possibly have given him the second he needed to get away, he instead when straight for the front of the grounded pokemon. He didn't like Saga, but he did respect her. [/blockquote]

He shrugged, watching the Spearow speed towards Hades for the first attack. It didn't seem to him that the attack would have a good against the Flying, but he new better than to believe that. He gave a silent chuckle, knowing that it might be a while for him to be able to have a good time with this. "Ok, Hades. Dodge and then use Aura Sphere," Raven called, his arms folded across his arms.
Hades nodded, jumping up quickly and landing a short distance to the right of the other pokemon. Pulling her arms to her right and concentrating, she let the ball of blue aura form for a few seconds before letting it go, heading straight for the Spearow. The Lucario gave a faint smile, watching as the attack went straight for the pokemon. Raven watched as the attack went, wondering what the girl will do to get out of the situation with this and how everything is taken.
OOC; Bleh, crappy post. And sorry it took a while for me to post.

ooc: don't worry. I'm slow with my replies quite often.
bic:
Saga frowned as Speck fluttered in confusion at the empty space where his opponent had been just moments ago. He was little more than a fledgling, and Saga was beginning to think she'd have to find some weak trainers in order to strengthen him. "Dodge it, Speck." By the time the spearow had turned his head to see the sphere of light headed straight for him from the right, however, it was too late and he was pushed back, touching down on the ground for a moment before taking to the air again.
"Fury Attack-quickly." Saga could see that Speck was far outmatched in this battle. For that matter, she knew she was less than knowledgeable-she knew the pokemon that originated from Kanto like the back of her hand, but those from other regions were a different story. Perhaps she ought to invest in a pokedex...
Speck shot towards the Lucario once more, almost in an exact copy of his previous peck attack-although this time he hoped to jab his beak into the grounded pokemon more than once. He was completely oblivious to Saga's thoughts, which was just as well, since she was pretty much expecting him to lose the battle. Not that she had given up-she just didn't expect much from the bird in the first place.
